Savor Growl Contributes to Clintonville "Beer Corridor"

Weber Market, located at 2991 Indianola Ave., will soon join its sister store, Savor Market, in the growler-filling business. Savor Growl is currently being installed at the corner of Indianola and Weber Rd.

The new store will offer an astonishing 60 beers on tap, and is topped-off by a walk-in cooler that's nearly 800 sq ft. You can buy a Savor growler, or bring your own. Growler fills will range from around $9 up to $20. This addition to the beer market on Indianola helps add to a "beer corridor" in Clintonville.

The under-new-management tavern at Crestview, The Crest Gastropub, will re-open soon. Savor Growl, when it opens in three to four weeks is only a short distance away and will focus heavily on local Columbus beers. Studio 35 has 40 taps, including a house beer. Well-known Palmer's and Weiland's extend the corridor North, which ends with Savor Market.

Check Savor Growl's Facebook page to follow the renovations and for updates on the store. Weber Market has previously offered a solid craft beer selection and tobacco products. For those of you that shopped there, you know they also offered some snacks and sodas, and a handful of other assorted products (dog food, paper towels, etc).

I think part of the charm of the old Weber Market was the sets of expired batteries, weird cell phone accessories, and random rack of sunglasses. Luckily, the new store will have a charm of its own, and be more entertainment-minded with craft beers, fine wines, and cigars. It will also offer "a few salty snacks", tobacco products, and lottery.

    1. I love what's happening with the Clintonville beer scene. Palmer's and Weiland's alone make it great, then add these two Savors and you've got a great set of stores.
